Named after the emblem and logo of Martin's Hotels, The Kingfisher provides a warm welcome in an industrial setting that effortlessly combines comfort and heritage.
Renovated in 2016, The Kingfisher still retains many charming features from its previous life as a Schweppes production site. The result is a warm and unique Walloon Brabant lounge bar whose heritage charm is enhanced by industrial styling and visuals from the period. This Genval bar has a piano that guests can use to add their own melodies to the atmosphere, as well as a lovely patio that’s a perfect place to relax when the weather is fine.

It’s not surprising that the menu at The Kingfisher features a number of delicious cocktails based on the Schweppes tonic, soda and bitter lemon soft drinks that earned Genval its international reputation. There’s also a range of house beers, such as Martin's Pale Ale. Take your time to savor your drink while resting comfortably at the bar or by the fire in one of Walloon Brabant's favorite meeting spots. A wonderfully warm and elegant welcome awaits you, along with superb views over Genval lake.

Our cosy Walloon Brabant lounge bar on the shores of the Lake of Genval is open 7 days a week from 4pm onwards, though times may vary slightly depending on occupancy levels at our Château du Lac hotel.
Weekdays: 4pm - 12am
Saturday: 4pm - 1am
